Is the on-board GPS navigator on buses or personal ones better?

I have a question for my tour bus colleagues. How do you feel about navigators installed on tourist buses? I have always used my personal navigator, for me the ones pre-installed on board are simple navigators and do not offer routes based on the vehicle? And then they don't have as many useful options as traditional ones.

So it's better to buy a personal one according to your needs, right?
